Madhubabu pension yojana is a government initiative proposed by the state government of odisha for the elderly person and also for the physically disabled person of the odisha. The main vision of this scheme is to provide financial assistance for the backward classes, physically disabled and for the older persons of odisha. According to this scheme the government has proposed monthly pension for the person to financially assist the person in the state of odisha.

Madhubabu Pension Yojana eligibility criteria:

To get pension under this scheme the beneficiaries should fulfill the following criteria as per Madhu Babu Pension Yojan Rule 2008.

• He is of 60 years of age and above (OAP), is a widow (irrespective of age) (WP) or is a leprosy patient with visible signs of deformity(irrespective of age) (CLP).
• He is a person of 5years of age or, above and unable to do normal work due to his/her deformity or disability being totally blind or, orthopaedically handicapped or, mentally retarded or, with cerebral palsy (DP).
• He or she is a permanent resident / domicile of Odisha. Has not been convicted of any criminal offence involving moral turpitude.
• He has family income from all sources not exceeding Rs 12,000/- per annum(Tahasildar Concerned to certify).
• He will not be a pension holder of any other government authorized schemes.

Madhubabu Pension Yojana Benefits:

For the assistance of poor and middle class families in odisha government has announced this scheme as madhubabu pension yojana in the year 2008. Under this scheme state government is providing monthly allowence to the persons above 60 years and to the physically disabled person and also to the widow in odisha.

• for the person above 60 years government has provided before 1000 rupees per month, in this year no changes that is also 1000 rupees.
• But for the persons above 80 years government is providing before 1200 rupees but as of now 2024-25 its increases to 3500 rupees.
• For the assistance of the physically disabled person under madhubabu pension yojana government is providing 1000 rupees per month.
• For the widowed person also 1000 rupees per month providing as financial allowence per month for their social security.

3. Resident Certificate.
4. Income Certificate from the tahasildar.
5. Disability certificate and medical certificate for the disability person .

Madhubabu pension yojana: How to apply offline?

• The application form can be obtained from the office of gram panchayat or may be from block office.
• Along with the all required documents which is mandatory and the application form to be deposited at the office of block, block development officer (BDO).
• You must get the acknowledgement number on the spot for future verification purposes.
• later on all the documents should be verified at the block level by the block development officer.
• then all the documents to be transfered to the sub collector office for the verification of the madhubabu pension yojana.
• Then all the documents to verified at the collector office as the sanction of the loan to be disbursed from the collector office.
• later on as per the rule the individual can check their eligibility from the sanctioned officer and can also re apply for that.
• at the 15 of every month the pension to be disbursed to every pension holder.
